How do I join?
Easy, just fill out a membership application form which is conveniently available here and either:
- Post it to Arthur at 22 Brisbane Water Drive, Koolewong, NSW 2256 (with a cheque or money order)
- Or come to a Club Meeting: 7:30 PM every 2nd Thursday of the month at Arthur’s Place (or as notified)
You can also send us an email, if you want to ask any questions (or just say ‘Hello’ – Michael, our webmaster who recieves the emails, is a pretty friendly guy who is happy to answer questions, and will pass them to the club committee if you want actual information.)

# ‘Junior’ is defined as a suitably certified diver under the age of 18 on the date of joining the club. Junior members must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or parental approved supervisor on all club activities, including dives.
* A visitor is a certified diver who joins the club on a temporary basis during a visit to the Central Coast, usually to a maximum period of 30 days.
When you consider that club boat dives can be as low as $35 there’s absolutely no doubt that BWAC is the best value diving club around.
Dive Training & Courses
BWAC does not conduct dive courses or provide instruction. Veteran club divers will of course pass on their experience and knowledge to newcomers, but if you want to learn to dive, you must pass a dive course run by an accredited school or instructor. Gosford Diving Services and Terrigal Dive Centre are two local dive shops that run dive courses to suit beginners as well as advanced divers.
Dive Trips and Expeditions
Also, from time to time the club may organise away dive trips. These are generally to locations such as Port Stephens, Wooli and Laurieton and can be for a weekend or a week, depending on numbers. The club boat is sometimes trailered to these spots, if not then alternative diving arrangements are made. Many BWAC divers regularly go on expeditions to exotic overseas locations such as New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. These are not organised by the club. Individual members will arrange their trip through dive tour companies.
